These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ccount mobile application and website (“the Service”) operated by DXP Analytics Private Limited(“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ccount is a free expense-splitting applicationthat allows users to track shared expenses, split bills, and settle debts with friends and groups. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
The core functionality of ccount is and will remain free. We may offer optional paid features (such as ad removal) in the future, but expense splitting, multi-currency support, groups, and reports will always be free.
2. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years oldto use ccount. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
3. Account registration
To use ccount, you must create an account using your name and either an email address or phone number. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and truthful information during registration.
- Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may only create one account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
4. User responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of expenses, settlements, and group data you enter into the Service. ccount is a tool that facilitates tracking — we do not verify, guarantee, or take responsibility for the financial accuracy of any records entered by users.
Disputes between group members regarding expenses or settlements are the responsibility of the users involved. We are not a party to any financial arrangement between users.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
- Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service.
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion.
6. User-generated content
You retain ownership of the data you enter into ccount (expense records, group names, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your group members.
You represent that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
7. Intellectual property
The ccount name, logo, brand, and all software code are the exclusive property of DXP Analytics Private Limited. All rights reserved.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, brand assets, or code. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service or any part of it.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase, AWS, and Google AdMob. Your use of the Service is also subject to those services' terms and policies. We are not responsible for the actions or failures of third-party services.
9. Advertisements
The free tier of ccount displays non-personalized banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you consent to the display of such advertisements. You may remove ads by subscribing to the optional paid tier where available.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any errors will be corrected. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy of exchange rates or any financial calculations.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DXP Analytics Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including, but not limited to, any financial disputes between users, loss of data, or service interruptions.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free-tier users, is zero).
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
ccount is a global service. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of your country of residence. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in your country, or through an internationally recognised arbitration mechanism agreed upon by both parties.
Where local consumer protection laws provide you with additional rights, nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
